Dub Phizix - https://soundcloud.com/dubphizix
The creator of a new style of Drum and Bass music that fuzes influences from all corners of the globe, Manchester based Drum and Bass producer Dub Phizix began his obsession with music over 20 years ago. At the time Dub Phizix, (or George to his mum) was just someone who annoyed the neighbours. By 10 years into his career of music construction, Dub Phizix was an accomplished producer having made music in a variety of styles for MTV, BBC, Nokia and 4Music.Having reached 4 million views on Youtube, 2011 and 2012 will be remembered for the impact ‘Marka’ has had on not just drum and bass, but electronic music in general.Dub Phizix has traversed the globe and taken his unique sound to all six continents including shows and tours across the US, India, China, Brazil, South Africa, Australia and more as well as being one of the most in demand DJ’s across the UK and playing nearly every major city in Europe with appearances at major festivals including Exit, Global Gathering, Outlook, Boomtown and many more.
CHUNKY - https://soundcloud.com/ukchunky
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxhZ4-aMj1FdDpPS_YxmAjg
For such a stalwart of the Manchester and UK underground music scene, it’s hard to believe that Zimbabwe born Chunky is yet to enter into his late 20s.
Picking up a mic and appearing on sets around the city as a teenager, his individuality would see him hold down mic duties at residencies at two of the city’s most recognised nights, Hit&Run and Hoya:Hoya. He’d also become the frontman for True Tiger, Swamp 81 and Riot Jazz as well as being the man asked to host sets by everyone from Jackmaster, Oneman, Ben UFO to Detroit underground legend Dabrye and seemingly endless DJs from festivals in Europe to the coasts of Australia. Chunky is more than just a mic man though and proved this by releasing ‘The Chunky EP’ on Swamp 81 in late 2012. The four tracker featured a take on underground dance music that echoed the individuality of his mic skills. It received widespread acclaim and saw him appearing on line-ups playing music as well as continuing to be as in demand as ever on the mic. Drawing influences from all corners of the shop, Chunky’s DJ sets deliver seriously weighty selections delivered with pure exuberance, as proved by his sets at Hoya:Hoya, Fabric, Soundwave Festival and more.
Jonny Dub - https://soundcloud.com/jonnydubhoya-hoya
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxhZ4-aMj1FdDpPS_YxmAjg
Jonny Dub is regarded by many in the know as one of the most talented DJ's to come out of his home town Manchester in the last decade. His playing style and musical tastes are so varied and diverse that he's equally at home playing House, Techno, Garage or Afrobeat as he is playing Grime, Jungle & Hip Hop. In the last few years Jonny has been an integral part of one of the UK’s most exciting music collectives ‘Levelz’, who have taken the music scene by storm with their high energy shows and lively performances and have gone on to play festivals and headline shows all around Europe. Levelz have been featured in DJ Mag, The Guardian, Beats 1 & Channel 4. Jonny is also the founder of ‘Hold Your Corner’, a weekly mix series that explores underground scenes around the World and shines a light on some of the key figures involved. OUTLOOK FESTIVAL - https://soundcloud.com/outlookfestival
Outlook Festival is the largest Soundsystem Culture festival in Europe, bringing together the biggest names from the most vibrant and cutting edge dance scenes around. During four days at the end of summer, the festival is set in an abandoned fort perched above the Adriatic sea, next to a beach right near Pula, Croatia. When we talk about bass music we don’t mean the bastardised commercial version currently being sold to children, we mean underground dancefloor music, whether it be house, techno, dubstep, reggae, dub, hiphop, garage, grime, electronica, etc. As Duke Ellington puts it “There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other kind.” Now approaching its tenth year, Outlook has grown rapidly and is going from strength to strength. Anyone who has come to any of the last nine Outlooks will tell you how amazing the vibe was, how wicked the music was, how beautiful the smiling people were and how stunning the setting is.
SKEPTICAL - https://soundcloud.com/skeptical
As a DJ and producer whose natural passion for music in all its forms eventually spilled over into a full blown production habit, Skeptical has been responsible for some of the most damaging yet delicate tracks occupying the realms of current drum & bass.Critically featured releases have been coming thick and fast on a range of the biggest labels in the genre. From the deadly Blue Eyes EP on the taste-driven label that is Ingredients Records, to a slew of impeccable releases on highly esteemed imprints such as Exit Records, Dispatch, Renegade Hardware, and with forthcoming releases due on Metalheadz, Soul:r, Commercial Suicide & Samurai, Skeptical has smashed it out for almost every dark drum & bass label worth its salt. And of course as one third of the team behind ‘Marka’ – the undisputed drum & bass champion track of 2011, Skeptical has attained a legendary status amongst the ranks of D&B producers. ‘Marka’ was a tour de force of ominous, intensely atmospheric production that goes off on the dance floor.Skeptical is a producer who can stimulate your cerebrum with his innovative bass structures and put an exit wound in your brain with destructive DJ sets that have made him a Renegade Hardware favourite. Only the biggest of things are to be expected from a producer who has only just begun to give the drum & bass public a tantalising idea of his musical mettle.
DRS - https://soundcloud.com/mcdrs
Alongside MC Conrad, MC D.R.S. has managed to successfully bring a human voice to the emotive drum'n'bass music of LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records empire, performing live at their performances and on some of the Progression Sessions albums. While other MCs struggle to merge rapping with the complex rhythms of drum'n'bass in the late '90s, the man otherwise known as Delroy Pottinger has already proven himself as one of the few MCs able to comfortably rap alongside some of the top drum'n'bass DJs in Britain. Like many of the other innovative drum'n'bass artists of the early to mid-'90s, he grew up as a teenager interested in breakdancing and the accompanying hip-hop culture characterized by artists such as Run-D.M.C. and Kurtis Blow. From there, it was a natural progression for Pottinger to begin rapping at the DJ parties. Soon, he was making demo tapes made with turntables, drum machines, and a microphone. By his late teens, he began attending local raves in Manchester and Liverpool before he eventually became the resident MC at Club Xtreme, where Pottinger first met Bukem and MC Conrad. It wasn't long before Conrad personally gave Pottinger a call, asking him to join the Good Looking camp. Since that moment when he became known as MC D.R.S., he has quickly become known as one of the top MCs in the drum'n'bass game, first appearing on Blame's Logical Progression, Vol. 2 and then in a more prominent role on that same DJ's contribution to the Progression Sessions album. Fast forward to 2017. DRS has collaborated with a vast number of the genre’s most prolific artists to create albums “I don’t usually like MC’s But…..” and "Mid Mic Crisis” both on Marcus Intalex’s own Soul:r imprint as well as a plethora of collaborations on other projects with labels such as Signature, Critical Music and Metalheadz to name a few.

It is designed to become a regular outlet - via digital download stores - for top quality and forward-thinking, deep D&B music.
